CITAC Knowledge Sharing Series Webinar on Sustainnovation for Green and Healthy Building Design in the Era of Big Data
Co-organised by CITAC and Arup, this Webinar was held on 9 April 2020.
The focus of sustainable buildings has shifted from energy and operation efficiency to the wellbeing of people working and living in them. The recent Covid-19 outbreak has further sharpened this focus and brought immerse attention to the role buildings can play to prevent/reduce potential health risks and enhance comfort and wellbeing of occupants/users.
Building occupants/users are increasingly looking for elements of green and wellness in the built environments, leveraging on ‘sustainnovation’ – innovative design solutions to achieve demands in comfort, wellness, efficiency and lifestyle, applying the knowledge in building services engineering and architectural engineering. The speaker will talk about how big data can be applied in sustainable and healthy building design to reduce potential health risks and improve the overall environment for health and wellbeing of the occupants/users.
