Webinar on MiMEP Adoption
The Construction Industry Council (CIC) strives to promote greater uptake of DfMA and offsite construction-related techniques in Hong Kong construction industry. There is considerable potential for Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) designers and builders to adopt the DfMA approach to help deliver high quality building services works more efficiently.
In the light of this, “Reference Materials on DfMA Adoption for MEP Works” was published last year. We are delighted to announce that a concise version will be released this year for ease of use and understanding by the practitioners. Ir CK WONG, Vice President of Building Engineering (MEP) HK of AECOM and Ir Dr. SAM HUI, Adjunct Assistant Professor of Department of Mechanical and Engineering of HKU will jointly introduce its content to us.
We are also privileged to have representatives from DfMA Subcommittee of HKFEMC – Mr. James LI and Mr. Victor NG to share with us the development of DfMA and MiMEP as well as project experiences in Advanced Manufacturing Centre. Besides, Mr. Garrick SZE, Project Director – M&E of SHKP., with his consultant and main contractor respectively– Dr. Calvin KAM, Founder & CEO of Strategic Building Innovation (SBI) and Mr. Richard MAK – Engineering Manager (M&E) of Chun Fai Construction, will share with us the insights from Sun Hung Kai’s corporate journey on Digital Twin and MiMEP as well as a case study on a new local commercial development project.
