“Reference Material on Safety Roles and Responsibilities of Key Stakeholders in the Hong Kong Construction Industry” is Published
The Construction Industry Council (CIC) is committed to improving various aspects of the construction industry in Hong Kong, including construction safety. With reference to occupational safety and health legislations, codes of practice, guidance notes, and the safety terms and conditions specified in various construction or consultancy contracts, the CIC published the "Reference Material on Safety Roles and Responsibilities of Key Stakeholders in the Hong Kong Construction Industry" in January 2022. It serves as reference material for good practice for relevant stakeholders at respective levels to meet their responsibilities and fulfill their roles, the legal requirements to be followed in the planning stage of the project, the current standards and methods, and how to enhance various responsibilities of workers' safety at work, in order to reduce the accidental risk in the work process and accomplish the objective of "Safety is Everybody's Business".
